My wife and I have finally made the transition from (3) pop-ups to a travel trailer that we have wanted for a few years now. We just bought a 'new to us' 2006 Keystone Sprinter 274RLS which is in excellent condition. We have been shopping and accessorizing (sheets, sewer hose, TV, etc) in prep for our first outing over the long 4th of July weekend which we are counting down the hours to! We have seen many configurations at shows and in campgrounds and love the layout of this one with the rear living and large slide-out. AS DW tells everyone, now we have a bathroom and a microwave!
Our tow vehicle is a 2000 Ford Expedition with 5.4, HD towing package, 3.73 limited slip, 4R100 trans, Firestone Coil Rites, Bilstein HD Sshocks, Prodigy P2, and Equal-i-zer 4-point sway control WD hitch. At 139,000 miles she handled the 90 mile ride home with ease, but I sure don't get the gas mileage I got towing the pop-up!
Have to be a little more selective in choosing our camp sites now. Looking forward to learning much from this great resource!
