So I looked ata 2008 f-250 4x4 crew cab short box diesel 10k gvw disappointed payload was 1835#. Looked at a 2009 f-350 4x4 crewcab short box diesel 11.5k gvw, payload 3135 now we're talking! Looked at a new 2014 f-250 xlt 4x4 crew cab short Box 6.2 gas 10k gvw 2807 payload, respectable. Looked at a 2014 xlt 4x4 crewcab shortbox diesel payload 2110 not impressed, about 700 #s less payload because of diesel. So does anyone out there have a newer 350 4x4 crewcab 156wb with the 6.2. What does the payload sticker say is your payload #'s? If my math is correct it should be in the 3500 to 3700 range? I can't find any 350's with that setup around here. The sales guy tried to figure it out witha brochure but gave up. Any info would be appreciated.
I thank you all in advance.

I would be concerned with that salesman !!!!

Go here: http://www.ford.com/trucks/superduty/specifications/payload/

Scroll down the left side to "F-350 SRW 4x4" then read across to the "Crew Cab 156.2" column and you'll see the payload listed for each of the "GVW ratings" usually the 6.2L gas engine trucks are rated 11,300 and the 6.7L diesel trucks are rated 11,500. so, the "normal average" for gas trucks would be a payload of about 4400 and the diesel would be about 3970.

Keep in mind that options and equipment added to the truck will change the payload, but these figures are from the Ford website Superduty specs page listed above.

Hope it helps a little...

The 2015 F250's, 350's etc. are changing quite a bit. Engine updates, higher tow capacity. I wouldn't buy a new 2014 Ford truck right now unless I got a smoking deal with the 2015 improvements. I love my 2011 F250, just wish I'd bought a DRW or at least a SRW F350. I see zero reason to ever buy another F250. Wish I had the extra bed length of the 350 all of the time.

Alan,

What website link did you use to get that information? It sounds like it's a much more specific site than the link I used... Appreciate your sharing the link.
