I wish the Keystone spec sheets would show exactly what is included in each of the packages that they offer....Even the salesman was not sure what was supposed to be on the unit because their order form only listed packages....Like power package, easy camper package, customer first safety package, extreme thermal package, exterior spigout.........A person should not be a Philadelphia lawyer to figure out what one is buying.......at least with a car or truck they list what is included and what is excluded or in place of.......:eek:Even when you look at the list for a package and see it shown on the spec sheet for the camper not all items listed are not there, go figure.....

Bob:
From what you have said regarding your salesman in this and other posts, it seems that he (she) doesn't seem to be of much help or knowledgeable about this particular unit. Obviously, you are having difficulty reaching a decision about whether or not to buy this RV and it appears as though you are not getting all of information you need from the salesperson and/or dealership to make an informed decision. If you are settled on this particular dealership, perhaps it might be worthwhile looking for another salesperson who is able to answer your questions! While we would like to assist you in your purchase, it is difficult for us to answer and respond to some of your concerns and questions that you have raised here and elsewhere on the forum.

A few years ago I went to a different dealer and was looking at a Heartland product and I actually knew more about their products than the salesman I was working with...He kept having to run back to the office to ask the other salesmen my questions.....One of the things I hated about that unit was the dump valves were underneath the unit and could not be reached except by laying on the ground and scooting under the unit to pull the handle and push it in.............I do not want to spend 40,000 dollars and then have buyers remorse....

Bob, The Keystone website seems to list what is included in the different "Packages". You can also get a printed brochure on each of their lines. If your salesperson has not offered any answers I would ask who does know and insist on talking to them. My saleswoman told me she had never camped a day in her life and arranged for one of the shop techs to go over everything with me. Someone at your dealer should know what they are selling or find another dealer. This page explains the standard packages for Sprinters and and the 314 FWRLS. Hope this helps, Hank

Hank -

I do know what you mean! When we ordered our Alpine, I gave the salesperson (female) a sheet with highlighter denoting what we wanted to add to the "basic" package. She had very little knowledge, neither did the sales manager or sales accountant. Luckily, we did receive what we requested. The dealership could not overcome their excitement about double-paned windows, etc. I don't think anyone had questioned the dealer before!

I have all the printed materials plus the build sheet from the factory and even thou things were listed on both sheets they were not on the actual unit when we were going thru the unit comparing it to the spec sheet.....with an auto you can tell what day of the week it was built on by the vin. but not so with an RV...
