Hello all! I am looking to buy an awning shade by Carefree for my 2014 Premier 31BHPR. And I cannot remember the length of my awning. This TT is new to us. I have only used it twice since buying it in September 2013. I just want to be sure before I buy the shade. I would simply go out and measure it myself, however, my unit is currently in the shop 150 miles from me in Upstate New York. Don't ask! That is for another thread! I appreciate the help. Thanks in advance. Be well!

Looks to be about 15 feet.

I think it's listed as 16', but I'm with GaryWT, I think it's more like 15'.

I agree. I think it is 15' as well. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks Fellas!

I could measure mine when I get home this evening if you'd like.

If I do, what measurement are you looking for?

width of the awning canvas
outer dimension of the awning support arms
other?

Hey thanks I appreciate that! I am looking for the actual length of the awning, as it sits on the trailer, closed. I am looking to add a Sunblocker to the groves in the awning roller. Also, now that I have read some of the reviews of the Carefree Sunblocker, knowing the manufacturer of the awning would be a big help as well. It is either Carefree or Dometic. I am not sure if you can see the manufacturer sticker or make with the awning closed. Please do not open it up on my account. I am going to buy this shade anyway. Thank you very much!

According to the reviews, the Paracord in the Sunblocker, which helps keep the material taunt as you slide it into the groves, is sized to fit Carefree Awnings naturally. They say it will fit Dometic Awnings, but it is hard to install because of the smaller size grove. One reviewer did say that he was able to get a the correct size Paracord from Carefree, at no charge, to fit his Dometic Awning.

Dometic makes the same shades. However, they are only 4' from the top of the awning down, to the Carefree which is 6'. Just thought I throw my research in here in case someone was in the market for one of these products. I got the reviews from Campingworld.com.

I picked up my premier last night and was able to measure it. It is actually 14'. However, you still may have a 15' awning on your premier, no worries. I put a call into customer service down at Keystone day before last. The rep told me that the awning size for this unit has many awning sizes to choose from, according to what he was reading. He said it starts at 14', 15', 17',19', and 20'! I am a little PO'd because when I was buying mine, I had asked the salesperson, with whom did not have a clue, if other awning sizes were offered. I wanted a larger awning so to cover both doors. Obviously he said no it did not. Too late now.

That is too bad, wish mine covered both doors.
