We are new campers. We just bought a new 2014 Cougar 28RLS travel trailer. We have taken it out once. A bit of a learning curve, such as burning out the electric element for the hot water heater. It worked fine on gas. I just got a replacement element in today so I will change it out tomorrow. My wife and I are retired so we hope to get a lot of use out of it. Years ago when our adult kids were little, we had a pop up camper. Boy times have changed. The new Cougar is like a palace on wheels by comparison.
I hope to learn tips on maintenance and use of our new Cougar.
We are pulling with a 2007 Ford F150, 5.4L V8, 4x4 with a factory tow package. We have an equalizing hitch and anti sway bar. So far, the trailer pulls just fine, even up hills.
