We recently bought a used 3400RL, we are somewhat seasoned RV'ers-LOL
that said, we sadly came to find out that the bedroom slide had been leaking for a VERY LONG time!! (floor was rotten)

It appears to be coming down the inside wall by the headboard. As soon as I spotted it--as it was dark in color, I went into action!!

Everything on top of the slide looks good-both seams-no matter I siliconed everything that did not move!!
We have had HEAVY rain fall, and it does not leak immediately, but the next day or two it will seep discolored water down the wall.

I have pulled my hair out looking for an entry point--so far-no luck.

any input would be greatly appreciated-thanks in advance

PS--the leak/seep, is to the RT of center looking at the bed-and seeps down 2 or 3 places, towards the RT

Not sure on your unit, but if you have a window in the forward or rear facing slide wall, that could be the source of your leak. We had a leak in the front facing end wall on the door side main slide, and the water was not from the roof or other external seams. We finally discovered that the butyl caulking around the window frame where it seals between the window flange and the external wall surface and a slight, maybe paper thick gap, that was allowing water to enter the wall, running out at the floor. After finally finding this, I cut back the protruding butyl material and ran a small bead of silicone around the entire window flange, and had no more leaking.

Wanted to get back to you--
On the side of of the slide, up top, there is a piece of trim/mold-where the top material meets the side material---?? me saw a small gap==I mean small, kinda like your paper wide gap--between the body and the trim????
I have siliconed it closed!!!
This may have been the culprit???===time will tell
This leak caused a lot of damage under the angle iron bracket that screws to the hydraulic ram---it rotted out that board!!
Water leaks are NOT your friend in a camper--and we never saw the damage untill to late!!!
As we bought the unit used:(

thanks for your reply
