Has anyone used the protective plastic carpet film that you can get from lowes or menards on the front of your camper to protect it from bugs and road grime? We are going to make a trip to Pensacola, FL in a few weeks and i would like to use something like that to protect the front of the camper. It is a long trip and our last camper got hit hard with bugs and grime. I really don't want to put our new camper through that unless i have to.

Look into 3m protective film. It goes on with soap and water and a squeegee and comes off with a hairdryer when ready.

If put on correctly you don't even know it is there. A little expensive but might be better than carpet film.

Oh Menards, love that store but we don't have any around here.

I have never tried that or thought of it. Be careful that it is not too sticky that it pulls stuff off but sticky enough that it stays on.
