I live in southern Indiana, wife and I married at the courthouse and have never had a honeymoon, anyone suggest a nice place to take rv not a great distance away?

When we lived in Dayton Ohio we often camped at the Hueston Woods State Park - near the Indiana border. As I recall they have full hookup sites and a nice Nature Preserve.
It has been many years since our last visit so you might want to check RVParkreviews for opinions.

The wife and I spent our honeymoon RV style in Amish Country in PA. Intercourse, Blue Ball area (no kidding). We had a great time and that was 18 yrs ago. Still married and still Rv'ing.

Mmmmm. I just think you've made this week's upcoming Top Five. Watch for the 2nd Edition coming out soon. I'd send Hank a PM and ask him for "honeymoon" advice - it's all part of his Moderator's job description. :D

No need for a PM. After almost 44 years all I can say is make every day a honeymoon.

If Lynn reads this you will hear her laughing all the way in BC.

I have to apologize to the OP as he was asking a serious question and I kind of got the thread off track.
rode2nowhere, I hope that someone else can help with your request for info as I have been searching and have come up empty. In some states with Indian Casinos they have campsites and you can enjoy the entertainment and other amenities. Good luck in your search and I am sure you will enjoy where ever you wind up. .... Hey no need to apologize, it would be fine with me to pull the travel trailer out in the middle of the woods. I am easy to please. Wife and I get along pretty good after all we been thru. I hope I can live long enough to be married 44 years and still say we get along great! Hat off to you hankpage, well done.:)

my advice STAY OUT OF WALMART 2 reasons you will never have another year of marrage. and 2 you will be the brunt of a Jeff Foxworthy joke.

You might want to check out the French Lick area. There are lots of things to see and do and plenty of nice campgrounds. We personally like the Spring Mill State Park.

Our 1st and 2nd Honeymoon was to Branson, Missouri.
We later went to Vegas 4 times...
Went to Seattle and Napa Valley (San Francisco)...
Went to Sequoia National Park...
Went to Grand Canyon...
Went to Townsend TN (Smokies)...
Went to Daytona and Myrtle Beach SC....
Went from California to Chicago on Route 66 (yep... stood on the corner in Winslow AZ)... did the loop up through Indian Reservation... etc...
Just to name some of the highlights....

This year is our 20th anniversary and we're heading to Biloxi, MS to spend a week on the Gulf Coast....

We never vacation... it's always a honeymoon!!! :D

One of the best resources I've used when looking for a new campground in different areas is the AllStays Camp & RV App on my iPad. I provides a Map view, and also has links to reviews, filters for all kinds of different sites ( NP, SP, Private, etc). Also shows locations of Gas Stations, Propane stops, Dump stations, and most importantly (to some on this thread) Walmarts!

Here is a screen shot of campgrounds filtered to show those with full hookups only.

Indiana has a lot of great spots, Spring Mills, Indiana Dunes, and our current favorite Clifty Falls.

Lake Raystown Resort, (in Pa) is a great romantic place, especially if you get a site up on the hill over looking the water in the fall. It a little busy in the summer, but sun tanning during the day and quiet fires at night are great. Its relaxing sitting around a fire and just listening to the waves, almost all boat traffic is stopped at dusk.

Congrats on the 16 years. Had I still been married to my first one, we would have had 48 years this year.

Remarried seven years ago to a gal that was 19 at the time and I was 62. She is now 26 and I am now 69 and we have a five year old and doing great. Wish I could get another twenty five or so in. Hang in there, mine is only 44 years younger than me. ;)

Been married 46 years, camped for 46 years and still loving it, wherever we are. Just close your eyes, point at the map and go.

I'm not marred but when I get down on my knee and ask my lady to marry me,we will differently go somewhere in her RV but every day is a honeymoon for us. Any ideas for hot spot might excel the proposal.

I am happily married and have been for centuries but I wouldn't go so far as to say that "everyday is a honeymoon" - I should be so lucky! :D

My idea of a "hot spot" is a campground with full hookups. ;) hankpage would be the guy to ask about "hot spots".
