Steady Fast Stabilizing System

We recently had our 327RES blocked which made our tripod useless (too short). I had been looking for another system to keep the 5er from rockin and found the steady fast stabilizing unit and wondered if anybody else has tried this and with what success.....Could you also comment on the ease of the installation as well.

We have the BAL stabilizing bar system. It's essentially the same as what you're looking at. It works very well. While there is still a little "suspension bounce" with walking around, there is virtually no side to side rocking as is normally felt when anyone walks around in the trailer.

I'm very satisfied and with the BAL's locked down, I wouldn't even consider anything else as needed. I installed the 4 front bars in about an hour and the two rear bars in about 45 minutes. All you'll need with BAL is a 3/8" and 9/16" wrench and a drill with a 3//8" socket on it to install the self tapping screws.

Steadyfast uses the same concept and does the same thing.

I have the steady-fast, wasn't too hard to instal. the hard part was drilling into the frame otherwise was easy. As far as movement it got rid of it in the front, the back of my 5er there is still a little movement thats because of the type of stabilizing jacks i have. Steady-fast told me it would eliminate 80 to 95 percent of the motion. All in all i am very pleases with the system and would recommend it to anyone. I think also if you use the xchocks on the wheels would help even more.

I installed Steady Fast on our old TT myself. Wasn't that hard to do - think it took about three hours in total. The trailer had scissors jacks and was really wobbly, but the Steady Fast made it unbelievably better. I'm planning on putting on on our Montana sometime this year - it's not as bad stock as the old TT was, but could use some improvement.

I have the steadyfast system on my 327res. Look it. 3-4 hours install time with getting tools together and reading instructions. Dont use tripod anymore. I felt it was worth the cost.

I use the BAL stabilizer's at the 4 corners and what a difference. very simple to install. and easy to use, with my crank handle. but is sersiouly cut down the rocking in my sprinter 311bhs

I have the steady-fast system installed and it much improved stability. But on a campground last summer, I had the opportunity of checking out the BAL system and I would pick the BAL.

We have the bal bars on our TT 2 bars in front & 2 bars in back, made a huge difference!

Thanks for the info. I'm wondering what makes the BAl a better choice? And did anyone weld the bolts into the pads?

I am no expert and I may be wrong.

I believe that what gives stability is the resistance to movements created by the triangle of the system. Now, to me it would make sense that two triangles would give more resistance then one.

I've seen the posts for the BAL and Steady Fast bars, and one thing I notice in all the advertisements for them they say, "Adapts to most crank down leveling/stabilizing jacks". So, the simple question I have, does this mean they are intended for the electric jacks/Landing gear on my RV, or does this mean they only work for manually operated crank down gear or jacks?

I think I'm reading too much into the statement, but just want to make sure they are intended for the electrically operated jacks found on most RV's these days. Or are there versions for manually operated jacks and versions for electrically operated jacks?

I have the steady fast, works very well, and pretty user friendly to install, like someone else said, drilling the frame was the hardest thing. I even did a story on the install

I have only installed the front SteadyFast system so far. It made such a huge improvement that I lost the motivation to install the rear. Something to do this spring. The only thing is that you have to remember to unlock them prior to raising the landing gear. I used to lock them with the landing gear in the up position for traveling, but quit once I realized that it wasn't necessary. Now I pull into my campsite, lower the landing gear, disconnect the truck, level the fiver and then lock the Steady Fast stabilizers.

I think any aftermarket permanently installed stabilizer system will take care of interior movement. We've been happy campers since we installed ours 8 years ago. Hugs, Di
