Pressure relief valve

I notice at times my pressure relief valve leaks from time to time, is this normal?
I went to buy a new one and the guy said that this happens and to not replace it.

I've seen mine do it a couple of times. I just happened to be outside and I think someone inside had just turned the hot water on or off. And it was just a quick release of a small quantity of water.

This is normal, campers use a closed system, you have a check valve behind you city water inlet, this also prevents expansion when you hot water heater is on, it is working as designed.
