Does anyone know what is a safe operating water pressure for average RV plumbing? Thinking about purchasing an adjustable water pressure gauge vs factory set. not sure what pressure I' m getting after factory set and gauge and then water filter.

Mine is set at 50 PSI and been using it for 2 years w/o any problems.

We use a whole house regulator to get the volume water. I hook up the regulator to campground, check pressure and run 50-55 psi, then into a 10 filter I mounte inside the water compartment.

Like how you mounted the filter. was it much work??? Currently using the blue inline type filter. I like this, allows for less work at setup and take down time.

No not a whole lot. Just 3/4" pvc pipe and fitting from Lowes. Just make sure you get "hose" thread. I just like to piddle with things. Lowes is where I got the whole house water pressure regulator also.

Have you thought about using hose quick disconnects? Usually found in the garden department. Might make it easier then having screw and unscrew hoses all the time..

Most RV lines are rated to at least 125 psi but if your pressure is regulated at approximately 60 (+/-) psi you should be fine. Some regulators will reduce the flow while some of the better ones will not. Filters of various sizes and descriptions will also cut down on the psi. The pressure will vary depending upon the type and number of "restrictions" you have between the source and the faucet.
