Hi all so I read through all the posts we have here and some or most of the posts were folks that said they have them in their house, what im looking for is someone who has actually converted from the tank (6 gallon) to tankless and what your thoughts are. Im looking at the giradi model they have a newer one adjustable btu.
So that being said down sides are -
*you need a certain pressure
*You cannot use cold water with it, if you do it trips it off
*temp is regulated by water faucet open more or less

I plan to camp only with a full hookup so the plus side is, it saves propane, you have alot of hot water....but i have not talked to one person who has actually made the switch and said whether they have gone to low pressure sites, high pressure is it what they expected and do you like it? I have 4 members in the family so by the time I get to shower its cold....would love to change that...or if no one thinks its worth it id like to know. Again im only interested in if you made the conversion in your travel vehicle and I did read the rest of the forum :-)

Here are forum links that include comments from members who have actually used the tankless heaters in their RV:

Have you checked that particular Giradi model to see if it operates on 110V AC? Many tankless water heaters only function on propane. If the one you are considering is propane only, then you wouldn't be saving propane.
