X Chock VS Extended X Chock - 31 BHPR

Hi,

I have searched the forums, but I have not seen a concrete answer.

I have a 2014 Premier 31BHPR. Pick up in late April.

I want to get the x chock / extended x chock but I don't know which one I will need.

The x chock is cheaper in price, but seems to extend up to 10" is this enough for the 31 bhpr

The 31bhpr has the wide distance axles so the extended will be needed. Let me know how they work. I have looked at them but have not bought.

Your trailer is going to have either 33" or 35" axel spacing. Find out which one and go from there.

Just received the extended set for my 2014 31RE.

I used the extended for my passport 2910BH. It has the wide axles. Even the extended has to stretch WAY out to reach my tires, so I think if you have any sort of spacing between the tires then the extended is what you want. Mine works great.

Extended on my Bullet 246rbs. One on each side but I still get bounce in the rear. Really need to stack more blocks under the stabs to keep them from stretching out so far. Hopefully that will help. Got a couple bottle jacks for under the frame near the axles if I have to. Lol

I have a 2014 premier as well and use the extended version. I do like them, they do a good job and minimizing trailer movement, but I still use my regular wheel chock as well, safety first...

Used the extended X Chock and it is just like using a parking brake. I have been using these for years and there is no way I would disconnect my trailer without them in place!

I use the x chock and I don't move at all, 32 footer. I use them any time I move my 5th to make sure it stays in place!

Loving mine as well. You may also want to invest in a cordless drill motor and the "socket bit" that will work for both the chock and the scissor jacks if u have them.

Of course, if you don't plan on storing the chocks back in the box, and are going to leave them open then the drill may not matter.

For me I got a $45 drill from Sears, it's small but lithium ion and only takes 30 min to recharge. Made setting up and taking down the chocks and the stabilizers a breeze. Probably about 4 minutes to set up, less to tear down. I highly recommend this.
