I know this has probably been covered a thousand times but I have a Fuzion 322TE toy hauler and live in the Houston, Texas area. It is supposed to get down in the low 20's tomorrow night and I'm wondering if there's anything I need to do to protect the toy hauler? It is stored in a fully enclosed storage unit and in this area it usually only gets below freezing for one or two nights and we use it throughout the winter so I don't really want to winterize it. Is this something I need to worry about for one night below freezing? I had thought about buying a kerosene heater (one with the blower) for the storage unit but wondering how safe that would be, any opinions? This is the first winter I've really had to worry about the freezing temperatures and pretty new to the RV world. Thanks

If it's inside and only below for a few hours I don't think you have much to worry about.

I wouldn't recommend putting a kerosene heater in your unit if you are going to be away and leaving it unattended. For 1 or 2 nights of temperatures in the low 20's, you should be ok. You didn't mention what the daytime temperatures might be but if they get above freezing, this will help somewhat.

If you are able to get out to your unit during this cold spell, I'd go out and check it each day if possible. Run a bit of water in all the faucets if you can and turn the furnace on for a while.

As long as daytime temps go above freezing and since there is no wind-chill inside you should be fine. If you own a compressor, simply blowing out the lines would be some insurance.

Thanks, I do own a small compressor that i always carry to make sure all the tires are properly inflated while traveling. I was thinking the heater might not be a good idea.

High on Tuesday of 32, low of 24, and Wednesday high of 44, low of 29, then back in the upper 60's. Storage unit is about 25 minutes away so not too far.
