Happy New Year everyone!

I am trying to ID the axles on our 2011 318SAB so that I can acquire the dust caps for an upcoming bearing grease job that I am planning. We do have the E Z lube axles however I would rather do this old school style and besides, I want to check everything over carefully for our return trip to Canada from sunny CA.

I THINK that we have 5,000lb (based on the sticker on the side of the RV - GAWR 5,200) axles yet that # seems pretty inadequate given the GVWR of 11,685lbs.

I have searched the Dexter website for axle information based on the info from the stickers on the axles and the searches have resulted in 0 information. Which ID number from the tags tells me what axle information?

All help greatly appreciated. "bouncey:

Cheers!

I think you are correct with the 5200lb assumption, mine are 4400lb for a GVWR of 9,990. See picture of mine don't think it will help but who knows.

Mike L123, Howdy;

I'd call Dexter and give them all the info I could, starting with the
Dexter # . When you talk to the folks ask them for an email addy
that you can send a copy of the photos to for them to authenticate
and make a positive ID.

D52 are 5200 lb axles. You can cross reference the model # on Dexters website.

Yes, you are correct! I was looking for a 9 digit part number as that is what the Dexter web site led me to believe I should be looking for. WHO KNEW! Thanks for the help you guys. All the best for 2014!

Cheers!

I took that information off the same sticker you show, phoned dexter with that stuff and 10 mins later They send me email with everything listed about the axles wt, bearings, brakes, spindles etc. worth much more than I paid for it, a free phone call.

Yes, I am internet competent and yes, I did search the Dexter website. Unfortunately, I was looking for a nine digit number, per the website, which I did not find on my axles. Hence, my request to the collective knowledge base.

My query has been satiated and I thank all of those who were so good to reply.

Cheers!
