Hi, I'm Brandon. My wife, son and I just bought our first "nice" trailer (our first fifth wheel). I travel for work, so it's better to have a trailer. I just never thought we'd have one this nice. It really is the perfect layout for our little family.

A little about me: I started out pipelining driving a Bonneville, and staying in hotels.
Then I decided I should get a trailer to save some money, so I got a jeep grand cherokee and a 20' 1972 Terry Taurus.

That was fine for just me, but when my wife had my son we decided to get something larger.

We got a Dodge Ram 1500 and a 30' 1995 Gulf Stream Conquest.

I liked the layout. It had individual rooms, and a lot of storage. But with no slides it was really cramped for us all. My son was learning to walk, and my wife was getting cabin fever, so we knew we needed something a lot bigger, with more luxuries of home, and a lot more room.

In comes our dream rig. I got a 2001 Chevy Silverado 3500 dually with a 496 big block (I'm a hot rod fanatic) so we could get a trailer big enough for all of us, and load it to the gills with all of our stuff, since we'd be on the road most of the year. I chanced on a 2010 Montana 3750FL with 5 slides, a king bed, a washer/dryer, residential sized fridge, and a huge living room with a great entertainment center. Best part, it was stayed in a total of 2 weeks worth of overnight stays, it was only pulled 10 miles from the dealership to where I bought it, and I got it for $20,000 less than the NADA price. It still smells new. I honestly don't think there's a better layout for our family. My wife would like a tub, but you have to make some compromises. lol
