read about this in the past edition of Trailer Life . Garmin RV760 LMT GPS
supposedly built with RVers in mind . has all campgrounds , state parks listed and is voice activated. it will also plan your route around low overpasses for the 5ers . any feedback welcome .
my wife has very low vision , so this would be like another set of eyes for me thank you in advance.

I do not have that model but have other Garmin gps devices and they are all top notch and perform above all others. I have trusted them with my life.

I've heard the Rand McNally devices are better suited for RVing, but I have no evidence to support that.

If you do a forum search on that Garmin model, you will find some recent posts/threads about that very topic. Your question about the Garmin RV760 was asked earlier and there are several posts with comments about it. Just type in Garmin RV760 and you will find what others who have this model have said.

I have the Garmin RV760LTM and it is fantastic! Garmin finally made a RV GPS! See http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14660. KTMRacer and I had posts there.

I had the RVND 7710 that I liked a lot but it quit working so I bought the Garmin RV 760 I used it 2 months and hated it. It couldn't get me to two different campgrounds on the same trip & it was harder to use than the 7710 so I sold it and the RVND 7725 Rand Mcnally Good Sam RV GPS I very happy with it.

I have a TomTom that I use while traveling around B.C with the teardrop that I built and it tells me where all the camping spots are.
I really like it as it'll tell me where food, hosp and bars are.
I would assume that it's not the top of the line and I'm not too sure how well it works across the line but it sure is the cats *** when I'm tooling around B.C.:)

We've a four year old Garmin that's served us very well, although I've been eying the new RV version. Originally had a Tom Tom that I gave away after it took us up and over a mountain in the Finger Lakes area of NY (truck & 27' TT) on a dirt road with four switchbacks and miles of serious drop offs to the sides. Really learned to appreciate four wheel drive, but the pucker factor was too high.

Most GPS units can have different maps uploaded to them, so an older unit does not necessarily need to be replaced. I haven't tried to load different maps to the automotive units nor have I searched for RV specific maps and data, but I do upload numerous different maps to my handheld GPS for hunting, and we do regular updates to our Garmin aviation GPS units.

Accordianmann I just got off the phone with Keystone about 2 hours ago and the Raptor rep stated that Garmin with the options youn mentioned are now an option on the Raptor as a back up camera/gps. I did not inquire about the other Keystone models having this as an option. Might want to give Keystone a call this system just came available 1 week ago, our toy hauler is in the makes right now and I immediately added this option.
