Have a parallax 7300 7 years old now. I have never been able to leave a battery hooked up as it burns them up in about 1-2 mo. Now the fan is out and the 12vdc is fluctuating badly. I want to get a new convertor but most mfg. do not tell you which ones are ok to leave a battery hooked to. Not interested in a generator. 7 years is not too bad but sure would like to keep the batt hooked up.
any suggestions as to mfg. and model would be appreciated
The RV is a forest river 5th 2006
Thanks

Most Keystone trailers since before '06 have used three stage converters. You may get better advice from a forum for Forest River. If working properly a three stage converter will not boil out your battery. This is the type you should look for replacement. Hope this helps, Hank

mine is a wfco 3 stage. it is a fairly cheap converter. I am on my second one and this one appears to be much better than the first one. and I don't have a problem with battery boiling
