Howdy All;

I hate playing with electricity, so when I awoke this morning and the
bald part of my head told me it was cooler in here than it should be I
first played with my thermostat in hopes that I may have had a small
bug or some dust preventing contacts from 'making'.... No such luck. I
fired-up the infernal-net machine and found the forum did a search for what
I thought was the problem, the thermostat and see what ya'll had done to find
a replacement. I didn't realize at the time (the coffee pot was making my first
cuppa at the time), and I had the morning news on the tv. Well ya can't hear
the switches connect with background noise :o.
Made a few calls and found a Mobile RV shop.... a few hours later the tech.
showed up and we talked it through, what I'd found out ... nothing, what he
thought from my description, control board. So he disconnected the propane
outside, and proceeded to extricate the fire breathing dragon from it's lair. This
was a learning experience for me as I am not that adventurous when it comes to
diving into things I'm not real knowledgeable about, especially when there is gas
and electric in close proximity. So, while the tech. went about doing his job I
tagged along keeping a close eye on what he did and how things came apart.
Well, it was the control board and the replacement was installed
the furnace was put back into it's hole, leak checked, and an op-check was
done. All fine and now that I've seen it done I am comfortable knowing that
should the furnace have to come out again I'll be able to do it myself.
By the way, the electrical part was nothing but cutting the few wires and
re-connecting them again at the tail end of the job. All the colors match so ...
easy-peazzy...
