We just got back from our last trip of the season and just wanted to report on the campgrounds we stayed at.

The first one was Clifty Falls State Park in Madison, Indiana. This was a really nice park and they had a pretty nice campgrounds. The sites were good size and for the most part pretty level. Like most state parks the showers houses were small and didn't offer many shower stalls. The park itself had great views and nice hiking trails.

The secound one was Twin Mountain RV Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This is a fairly small campground on the south end of town. Most of the sites are fairly small on the river side and in the middle but they do have larger sites on the east side of the park. The bigger sites slop to the road but not bad, the middle sites are pretty level and the west side sites along the river slop towards the river and can drop off quickly. The park is within walking distance of a few restraunts and attractions and also has a trolly stop located within the campgrounds.

We stayed there one summer.. that year it rained 6 out of the 7 days we camped. you know how the creek looks and flows nicely over the rocks normally. You should see it when it flows at the back of the campsites within 1-2 foot of your camper.. Kinda scary.. We were hooked up and ready to pull out at anytime and you know that doesn't leave much room on the road front.
But we had fun any way..

I could imagine that would be a little scary. It is tight with the vehicals parked along the road. That is the reason why we went with sites on the east side of the park. We were able to get our rigs in and still had enough room to park our trucks infront of them.
