Purchased a Premier FBPR in April this year. Almost immediately had an issue with roof separating from the front cap on the right side. Called Flagg RV and the problem was taken care of. Now the same thing seems to be happening on the left side. Is this a known issue with this model, or unique to us?

Besides a few other minor issues, we have been very happy with this rig.

Tom, There was a recall on this with the last year, so you are not alone. See http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9166&highlight=bullet+roof+recall

Thanks Bill,

Looked for the actual recall notice but can't seem to locate it including on Keystone website. Assuming there is such a recall, seems our dealer sold us a trailer with a recall on it without performing the required fix.

Tom, I'll post the contents of the letter that I received later tonight. As far as your dealer selling a unit with an outstanding recall is concerned, I doubt that this is the first or last time that this has happened.

I'll post the contents of the letter that I received later tonight.

Here is the text from the notice that I received:

Service Advisory 12-185

Keystone RV Company has discovered that a potential defect exists in certain model 2012-2013 Bullet and Premier Travel Trailers manufactured between January 2, 2012 and August 31, 2012. As a result, Keystone RV is conducting a service campaign. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however your continued satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us.

Reason for this campaign:
It has been determined the front roof transition molding on the vehicles listed
above may require additional fasteners installed. The possible failure of existing
fasteners could result in water damage to the front of the unit.

What we will do:
Keystone representatives have been in contact with the staff at your selling dealership regarding this situation. The remedy is to install additional fasteners in the existing roof transition molding. The service and parts required for this corrective action will be provided at no charge to you.

What we need you to do:
At your earliest convenience, please make an appointment to have your RV serviced by your dealership. The labor time to perform this campaign is approximately one hour. Please ask your dealer if you wish to know how much additional time will be needed to schedule and process your RV for this repair.

If you have questions:
Your dealer is best equipped to obtain parts and provide service to ensure your RV is corrected as promptly as possible. If your dealer is unable to assist or if you take your RV to your dealer on the agreed service date, and the dealer does not remedy the condition within a reasonable amount of time, or without charge to you, please contact Keystone Customer Service by calling 1-866-425-4369.

Bill, thanks again. This is certainly the area that we are having a problem with, however in our case seems to be more than just the molding. In the first instance, on the right side, the roof actually dropped about 1". Same thing is starting to happen on the left side. Either way obviously there is a problem in this area.

Guess I'm still surprised that a dealer would sell a unit with an outstanding recall not addressed. Equally baffled that they did not fix the entire area the first time we returned the unit to them.

Thanks again for all the info.

Tom

Again, thank you for

Dealer our Vantage came from billed Keystone for the work on a recall notice but didn't do the work. It was a minor thing, but... So yeah, unfortunately some dealers don't do the work at all, and some bill keystone for it and don't do it.
