My wife is a traveling nurse and we are going to San Antonio in two weeks for a 3-month stay and was wondering if anyone had any experience in staying at a good RV park there. We are leaning toward Admirality RV Park, but are open to suggestions.(tx):)(ty)

I'm not familiar with that RV park, but.....welcome to Texas. You'll think you're in a tropical paradise compared to a Nebraska winter. LOL
Please don't hurt yourself laughing when the TV weatherman gets all excited about nighttime temps plunging into the 30's.
Tour the old Spanish mission trail, including The Alamo. Great Mexican food too.
Let us know how it goes.......

There are a couple of nice COE parks on Canyon Lake, not far from SA, and also several State Parks in the area.

(tx)GEARHEAD!!! Thanks for the link to the other site!
I think we are going to Admirality first because they are under new management, and the reviews have been generally good since April of this year. Then during the first month we will check out other parks and State areas as BobLandry said. (ty)for that info, BOB.

Definitely getting tired of the Nebraska winters.:xmas9: That's why we are going south in the winter, then north in the summer!

PARADISE is what we are constantly looking for! I totally understand the excited "bouncey: weathermen in these fair-weather cities. Several years ago I was in central Florida in October. It was 64 degrees in the morning, and people were all bundled up with their hoods tied and still shivering! That's shorts weather for me!

As for attractions, my wife is especially looking forward to the Riverwalk! We will also do the Alamo, Sea World, etc. It's fun to go new places and see different things!

Thanks again both of you for your replies. I'll let you know how this works out.

Yeah, the girls love the river walk. A couple of margaritas at a table near the river, a stroll along the river, the candles flickering....well you know...

I know I shouldn't review an RV Park before I leave, but we have been here at Admiralty RV Park in San Antonio for 10 days now. It is a great park! Forget all the bad reviews you may have read before! This is under new management, and all of the staff and residents are nice and friendly and helpful! The park is clean and pet friendly and the heated pool is great even in mid-November. They have meal get-togethers (like Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving)and occasionally breakfasts on weekends! Check it out!!!

And our weathermen get excited in the spring when they say it's a heat way with temps rising into the 30s. LOL

Close but no cigar. A little frost on the lawn, but nothing else.
