broken shower door

Ok I have a 3 sided glass shower the door and the glass pulled out of the frame I have tried several times to get it back together and falls apart every time not to mention the hole door frame was out of alignment. I had it at the dealer long ago and they told me the hole shower was coming off the wall they fixed it and after a month or so I could not close the door again. All the hardware to attach the door to the frame needs replacing and the glass still needs to go in the frame needs new gasket. Any advice on where to get parts I tried the local rv parts store and they had no idea. I really don't want to spend $800.00 for a new shower door I have a makeshift shower curtain up now and look's like crap. I have to confess it’s not a Keystone but I have been on the other forum and left a post there several weeks ago no replies they are as responsive as the manufacture of my camper. I even have camping world trying to call with no luck. I really need to get this fixed even if it a band aid fix so I can get this 5er traded in on a fuzion :banghead:

Could you have a local shower door comp come take a look at it and see if they can fix it.

Without actually seeing what you are describing, it's hard to get a good picture of the repair. Is it just the door or is the shower door frame still out of whack?

What about trying a glass shop? They install new glass in house windows, doors, etc., -- they might be able to fix the door. They might also make a house call and fix the whole shower for you at a price which would be far less than $800. Worth a try.

Not sure how hard it is to install, but Lowes sells a shower almost the same size for $430, and it looks like it's built better than the factory shower. My door is starting to sag and leak, and I have been eyeballing a couple of them.

Yea pics of the door ill have to get some the glass is still good and it’s in the camper. The frame is in my garage. What I think I need is the screws and the plastic pieces I would call spacers that are held in by the top screw that goes into the hinge. I also need the rubber gasket that holds the glass in the frame. I did look at the doors at Home depot and Lowes they are all silver frames mine is a gold frame. And I don't really feel like spending that kind of money on this 5er. I am looking for a glass place that can do the work now. I tried to put the glass back in the frame a while ago and I couldn't get it to stay kept wanted to slide out. I think a piano hinge would work better on something like this.

I did and I also went to findley RV where I bought the POS. I think I need some JW :D

S&Dfz331, Howdy;

Get some of that black roofing tar or some windshield chalking in a tube,
clean out the aluminum channels that make up the door frame. fill the
aluminum channels with the tar/chalk then insert the glass. use 4 ratchet
straps to hold the long sides together and 2 for the top and bottom. Let it
sit till the tar/chalk cures then install. You can use a razor scrapper to
clean-up the excess after it firms up and before it hardens.

PS. Of course you should use the hardware to assemble the door frame ie.
corner screws and the other bits-n-pieces.

I never thought of that I will def do that the hard part will be locating the small pieces to attach the door to the shower frame. Thanks for the tip I will let you know how that goes. If I can find the stuff I will do it this weekend.

Well I got my shower door back together this weekend now I need to install it back in the shower. Worked out pretty good with a little ingenuity I think it will work out fine. Thank you all for the tips (tx)

Modern adhesives can do wonders. As for the hardware a good local hardware store can usually match up something for you. If the color is wrong $5 of spray paint can fix it.
