We picked up our new Cougar last night. Took it home and set it up in the driveway in order to start loading all the gear we took out of the old RV. This layout is so great but boy is it a huge change from the old setup. Good change but going to take some getting used to.

Anyway, while putting out the kitchen slide we almost tore off a door from the corner cabinet next to the fridge. Seems like it must have come open while being towed home. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this cabinet "popping" open after being moved? Couple other minor issues that the dealer already has work orders to fix once we get back from the official shake down over Labor Day week. After the trip home I'd say we are so far very pleased.

Watch the door under the sink too. If you leave it open and close up the kitchen slide it will do something to the camper. I am not sure what it does  I just know it does :banghead:!!!! Lucky no major damage.
oh yeah, watch the kitchen sink gray tank and dont forget to drain it while camping for a week, it(water) will come out the under cabinet sink vent..wife did that:banghead: !
and dont forget to latch the sliding TV tray either...:bfart:

We use to own the 327, great floor plan and loved it. What we do with all are doors is put Velcro straps between the handles to keep them closed, I have seen several others slides tear the heck out of things with doors and drawers coming open . We always open the slides just enough just to get to all the potential slide opening hazards to check them before we open them up all the way, so far so good and I hope it continues that way..."bouncey:

Thanks for the replies and tips. The third waste tank will take some getting used. While good to have, I can see how it would be easy to forget with the valve in such a strange place. Sorry you found out the hard way. TV slider in locked position, good call. (tx)

Watch the vanity door in the bathroom they have a tendency to open up and throw everything on the floor while traveling.

Also make sure that second gray tank valve is fully closed after emptying or the next time you dump you'll get a nasty wet surprise when you twist off the cap to hook up your hose. That valve is in a hard to reach location and it's easy to not push up on it enough to fully close it. Note to DW...next time I'll close it

Paulm235...tip recorded. Always let DH do the draining. ;)
Wouldn't be memorable if we don't have some kind of cleanout tale.
