bought 2010 Alpine new in November 2010; not my first RV so I expected a few problems after the first shake down run;
took it in for warranty work most of repeat problems was with the dealer and not keystone. they couldn't fix anything and I had to take it back at least once for anything that they worked on

still having problems with brakes. now i'm told all 4 brakes are shot and have to be replaced at over a $1,200 bucks

took it in for brakes to be worked on three times and they were never fixed correctly; ran hot and ruined them

had transfer switch replaced and got shocked when i washed it; had to take to dealer 3 times to fix this.

just lucky the thing hasn't caught fire from these two problems
will never take back to original dealer
called keystone today, they suggested that i have my new service people to call them and they might do a courtesy extension since it had been worked on some many times. I'll give them a chance to respond before I call my attorney. The repairs and problems were a real liablity

never had this much problems with my old camper that i bought new 7 years ago. which i had it back

Sorry to hear of your troubles due to incompetent dealer. Fwiw, you can purchase entire new12" brake assemblies online for about $70 each delivered. Not difficult to change out if you are capable. $1200 is robbery in my book.
Good luck.

SC Camper,

It sounds like Keystone may step up to the plate and help you with your problem. It's pretty clear from your description of what happened that it's not Keystone's issue, but rather the servicing dealer's inabiltiy to perform routine maintenance/repair on your RV. If any manufacturer should be stepping in to help, it should be the axle manufacturer. Both Dexter and Alco offer a longer warranty than the 1 year "Keystone inclusive" warranty. You may try contacting the manufacturer of your axles to see if they are willing to help (since there was an inability of the dealer's service department to repair your brakes).

Also, as therink said, $1200 is "robbery" You can get two new axles installed for that price. Brake shoes and even new drums shouldn't cost more than $300 or 400 for parts and $200 to install (and that's on the expensive side).

Yea SC Camper would you please share with us which dealership you had all the problems with. Bet I could guess. We live in Pickens and do not want to use this dealership.
