Takes a bit to get used to the short forms. My DW and I just got our TT and TV and are learning as well.

The "D" is optional on meaning ranging from Dear to Damn and everything in between depending on the context. LOL

DW, also known as she who must be obeyed. The actual name is cursed, so we have to use shorthand to avoid the unpleasantness.

I met a "dam woman" once. Several in fact. They all worked at Hoover Dam. We toured the dam when we were visiting Las Vegas. My DW, however, felt queezy when peering over the side of the dam and made a comment that she didn't like it. From the bottom of the dam looking back up, we also saw several women peering over the dam wall. I couldn't see their faces, but I'd bet many of them felt they would rather not be "dam women" as well.

Thinking about it,I don't think my DW would make a very good "dam woman." I'm happy with my DW sharing our fifth wheel and prefer not to have any "dam women" move in with us.
