I have a 2012 keystone hideout 28dbhs while camping this weekend we noticed the floor wet at the bottom corner of the slideout of the bunkhouse but no where else. We cant figure out where the water is coming from have checked all the seals on the slideout and all look fine and dry the top black rubber was flipped in one spot but we pulled it back out the hot water tank is near the corner of the slideout have checked fittings not wet please help we cant figure this out!

Check the sealant on the slide windows. If there is any indication that the sealant is cracked, dry or thinly applied, remove the window, reseal and go from there. Other's have found the molding on the bottom of the slide isn't sealed properly, then there's always the molding on the top, but that is usually not an issue.

Like John mentioned, the thin metal molding across the bottom of the side of the slide is known to cause what you describe. There should be four or five screws in the molding and one or more may have loosened and caused the caulked seam to open. Let us know what you find and be sure to let that corner dry out as soon as possible. Travel safely, Hank

I second Hanks suggestion. Mine was leaking, they had cut the plastic 1\16 inch short and it allowed it to leak.

Thanks we will check my brother is staying in it right now he says he thinks it is the hot water tank that it is leaking from the bottom any ideas what it could be?

Although it is possible, it's highly unlikely that a 2 year old hot water heater would be leaking. My bet is still one of the moldings or window on the slide.

Thanks. I hope so, but the nearest window in the slide isnt wet just the one corner of the actual slide and now he said its in the bottom panel of the hot water tank but not fittings feel wet... does the hot water tank normally have just a one yr warranty?
