Keystone Passport 2920BH

Hello everyone!

New to this site and travel trailers in general. I am considering a Passport 2920BH. I have 3 kids that will fit nice in the quad bunks. I have a new, long, ford F150 that will tow this trailer well within its designed specs and safety limits. Don't need the safety weight patrol to help me with that.

Does anyone have a Passport 2920 or 2910? Or something close to it? Have you had any problems? What should I look for? We are going to use it to drive around the country on vacations camping.

I like the 2920bh because it is light weight aluminum, bunkhouse design, smooth sides instead of corrugated, has only one slide, and the kitchen does not move with the slide. I think you are asking for trouble if the hoses are always on the move with a slide kitchen.

Already looked at a passport 3220Bh, and we like it, but is too big and has 2 slides to take care of. Weights are almost the same. We would rather a trailer be just a touch more manageable and in the end lighter too.

I consider myself very good with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair, so a trailer will be fun for me. Just want to ask other owners what are some pitfalls to try and avoid.

Has anyone ever tried to get a copy of the wiring diagram or plumbing plan for their trailer at delivery of a new trailer? I would try for that. :)

I have the single bunk setup. I built a ladder for the upper bunk:

For the shower, I bought the Oxygenics shower head. It's miles better than the stock one:

If you want to sleep in comfort, get a new mattress.

You'll never find or get wiring or plumbing diagrams. Many have tried. But if you need to track anything down, just post and someone here can probably help.

f6: Thanks for the tips. I already felt that sack of rocks they call a mattress in a 3220bh we were looking at. Read somewhere that ikea has nice replacements ones. Didn't know about the shower head, but I thought it looked fairly ineffective. Nice job on your bunk ladder. Looks good! ;)

f6bits, I find your comment about owners not being able to find any wiring or plumbing diagrams for their trailers interesting. Is that kind of information nowhere to be found on Keystones website, or if you call their technical service department? I would love to have a wiring/plumbing diagram of my trailer that I just bought.

BTW, I love my 31BHPR because it has 2 slides. It really opens up the rear bunkhouse area for the kids with that 2nd slide out. I guess it adds 2 extra feet and a bit of extra weight, but its a trade off to have a bit more area for the kids to sleep, watch movies, play, etc.

Keystone doesn't share that info with any owners/buyers.
Numerous forum members have contacted them & 'asked', but received the same reply: "No, sorry!"

I can't get tech. drawings on a trailer if I am going to write a check for 20 to 30 thousand? That is crazy. I might make it a bargaining point for when I do decide to pull the trigger on one. I know that sometime in the future, there will be a problem or issue with the trailer. Everyone I have ever talked to that has had one has an issue with it. That's fine. I just want enough information to try and fix it. :banghead:

I have a 2011 2910BH and with a family of four kids its nice. The large slide and U-shape dinette is nice. I like the back door storage area...with the lower bunk up we put bikes and other items that usually are outside when at campground. I also changed out the shower head and also took the couch’s skirt off to gain access to more storage. By using nice baskets or storage bins for toys or bedding and we even found a small ottoman to store under couch. TT is currently at dealership to look at black tank flush which has never worked since purchase and installing a TV bracket outside and in the rear bunkhouse. All and All nice trailer for price, size and weight.

I like the 2910BH, but I am going to try and find a 2920BH only because it has the outside kitchen and that gives it a few less pounds on the hitch weight. I really would like to have the second door that goes into the bathroom, but that seems to be on the 32 foot model only. 32 feet is too much for me to drag around. I really think 29 is a better size for us.

So if I can't get the second door, I am going to compensate with the outside kitchen. Also like the second fridge for beer and kids drinks.

31BHPR has the second door and an outdoor kitchen. (I know its a bit longer than you want, but just wanted to mention it)

In my opinion, the outdoor kitchen is a must!!!! Ive never owned a travel trailer before this one, but we use our outdoor kitchen a lot more than I ever thought and having the 2nd fridge is so nice. I couldnt imagine having a TT without one now.

I bring with me a seperate fridge that just plugs in outside when at campground which of course has been customized with a bottle opener on the door
