Outside light issue Cougar 325 SRX

This evening I went outside and found all my clearance and tail lights on, without the truck hooked up. I unplugged the outside power supply and they stayed on. Then I unhooked the battery and they finally went off. Why would these lights come on when not hooked to the truck??

Check the plug that goes to the tow car or truck a contact is made to the battery wire some where. Did You perhaps forget to unplug and drive off? Years ago I had a bad plug short that way inside the plastic. Look in the box the plug goes to there is a chance the short may be in there also wires will be joined there with plastic mars it is a look and find a tester may help but a good eye may find the problem as fast.. good luck..Bushman:D
