Need help with pump problem, my pump has a constant whine. When we have to use pump runs ok while supplying water to faucets. But never really shuts off, pulses on and off every few minutes, even when no water is turned on. The constant whining noise is driving me crazy. Any ideas??? Thanks!!

If the pump is running when you are not using water, somewhere in your system you have a water leak. The pump is supposed to shut off when it reaches a certain presure in the lines, if you are not using water a leak, and it may be a very small leak will allow the pressure in the lines to drop and cause the pump to cycle.

you most likely have a small leak:eek: go to the easy stuff first. the toilet valve they do sometimes stick and do not shut off. then go to the sinks and the back side of the water heater. after that you may be dropping the coroplast under belly to find the leak good luck:banghead:
