Our 5er is kept in a storage area but we bring it into the yard whenever we want to do some upgrading. Today we are finishing up on our new living room look. We have recently replaced all the cornices and put in 2" blinds which are working well. Took out the awful sofa bed and added a dual reclining loveseat. Today we replaced the dual reclining chairs with a rocking glider with footstool. Added a nightstand for a lamp table and some decorative items. Took out the old 26” analog TV and replaced it with a 32” digital HDTV.

Very nice, CW... it looks very comfy - a job well done.

You mentioned replacing all the cornices -- did you purchase new ones, or re-upholster the existing ones?

We got new fabric from a local supplier and re-upholster the existing ones. We had to remove -literally- thousands of staples. We borrowed an electrical staple gun from a friend when attaching the new fabric.

Very comfy looking...way to go! :)

We have a Cougar 5ver and would really like to install a small fireplace. Any Ideas? ~Tricia

You and the DW did a very good job on the up-date. You probably saved more money in the long run by doing this then by buying a new unit.
Again looks very good.

Do a search on this web site for installing a fireplace. I believe some one did this early in the year and posted pictures on this website.

We had also contemplated a fireplace but have decided to update our air conditioner to a Carrier roof top with the heat pump option. We currently have the single 15K Carrier and it has never failed us but it’s getting old so next spring the new one will go on.
