Cougar concern

Hi all - New to the forum and just brought home a new cougar 28 rls. Had PDI yesterday and noticed a squeak in the floor near the stove. Noted it with dealer during PDI and they are checking with keystone if it is a common issue. Sounds like maybe a joint in the floor rubbing together. Not a deal breaker since our house has squeaky floors too, but was wondering if anyone else had experienced this. Dealer said they would fix it and we have that in writing. We love the trailer and took it anyway since we have a trip scheduled this weekend thru the 4th and figured if we found any other issues they could fix them after our first outing. Just wanted to know if this was a common issue. Thanks in advance for any info

Some members have commented on the squeaky floor as well as a bit of a "spongy" feeling in that same spot. It seems that the join in the flooring is not well supported by floor joists in that area near the stove because that is where a furnace vent is located.
While ours doesn't squeak, it does flex somewhat right by the vent in our '08 Cougar.

I have a Sprinter 311 bhs and I have the same type issue. My floor is spongy around the heat register right in front of the stove and about 2 feet away it squeaks at times when leveled. I am not overly concerned with it now as we have a fairly full camping schedule, but I will take a look at it when it cools off a bit. Even though the trailer is under warranty, I will probably fix it myself, because I want it done my way....which might differ from "their" way.

The floor in my unit is very firm however there is an occasional squeak around my stove area when walking in center of kitchen area, however only occasionally. I think it depends on how level the trailer is. Mine isn't bad enough that I am concerned.
I did have a cracked weld on a wall stud on rear side of entry door where it joined the floor perimeter frame. I had this fixed under warranty. I think this is unrelated to the occasional squeak.
