I am going to make a trip across the Potomac later this Summer. Does anybody have any good recommendations for the immediate Gettysburg area? I'm hoping to find a better stay than the A.N.V. did in '63.

We just stayed at the Gettysburg KOA. We liked it a lot, its not on the main highway and off in the woods which we like. Below is a pic of our RV in the pull-thru site we had sorry don't remember the site #.

We stayed here on two separate occasions in site 7 when we still had our pop up camper.

We didn't spend much time at the campground as we spent most of the time sightseeing. They do have activities in the evenings. The shower house is clean. We would stay there if we go there again.
It is a short drive from the battlefield park, less then 10 min.
I hope you enjoy your trip.

Highly highly recommend Granite Hill. Have stayed there...loved it. Also checked out 2 other campgrounds...KOA....nice but sites are small and the other Gettysburg Campground.....disappointing. they had a huge area in the center in stone with rocks painted with white lines to mark the site boundaries....really? Hard/uncomfortable to even walk on all the large stones. The sites by the creek looked OK.

Granite Hill for sure!
