Awning Lights....

My awning lights come with plastic things that slide into the end of the awning.....then the metal S hooks hang from the plastic things.

Do y'all remove the plastic things before rolling up the awning? I have been to date...but always think...I wonder if anyone leaves em in?

We used the same thing... on two of our campers.. We never did roll the awning up with them still on... always off... Untill we saw these at an RV show here in St Louis >>> http://www.ucampproducts.com/ Now we never take them off... Been using them for around 3 years now... Love them...:eek:

Have the little plastic tips and make it a point to take them out first but was told it was ok to leave the on. Have rolled it up a couple times with them in when wind came up suddenly but did not leave them in for long.

I have the nylon ones on order.

The plastic hard ones we remove .. but the fabric ones that i just got will stay in.
