Purchased a solid 5-gallon gasoline "jerry can" (old WWII type) that I would like to attach to our Keystone Passport 195RB trailer. Anyone know where I can find a rack in which it can be placed and secured to the trailer?

I'm considering building a wooden box that I will secure between the spare tire and rear of the trailer. I understand it's not safe to carry gas next to the battery. I'm hoping the tire and its mount will offer some protection to the gasoline can in the event the trailer is struck from behind.

Thanks.....

ljp, Howdy;

You could do a Google, Bing, or some other Search engine search.

I used Google and found this;

Hi Saturn surplus or delks surplus will have the correct millitary hold with straps form that can and they have several ways to mount them. Only problem is they are painted olive drab so they blend in with the grass:D;) But that way no one will see it and steal it they are about 30 bucks.
