We took our first trip up north this last weekend. For 2 months before we left I have used the slide outs with no problem. The day we left I remindered that I have to use a extension cord to reach the 30amp box were we camp so making sure that it would hook up right and I didn't need to buy some type of adapter, I hooked it up at home. Starting at the trailer with the 50amp cord I hooked up the 50amp to 30amp adapter that came with the unit them used a 25' 30amp cord that I used on my old trailer then another 2 prong adapter to plug it into the 30amp wall plug. Everything worked good untill we went to pull in the slides from the control panel and they didn't work. Whats weird is that they work using the remote:confused: I checked the fuses by the control panel and all were fine but I think if a fuse was bad that they wouldn't work at all. Would using the 30amp cord have anything to do with this? Other than that it was a great trip.

Lost, am I correct that you used the "2 prong adapter" to get around using the grounding prong of the cord?

If you where using the remote at the same time you cant use the ones on the control pannel, some how it turns that off. I know my wife was trying to put out the slides and they stopped on her because i was using the remote. I know it also says you have to have batteries connected when using the slides, you shouldn't have to plug it in to shore power. I hope this may have helped you.
Also I think you have to fully extend the slide or retract with the remote first before they will work on control pannel again.

It should work with just the battery so I do not think the wiring has anything to do with it as long at the 30A is a 110 circuit and not a 220 one. Did everything else on the panel work?

The 2 prong I used Is actualy a 3 prong counting the ground. Yes everything else works on the panel. My battery is hooked up and fully charged. I'll try opening and closing all the slides and then make sure the remote is turned off and then try the panel again. I'll have to wait untill this weekend to try it, My trailer is up north. Thanks for all the input. This is a great forum (tx)

Problem Fixed "bouncey: I think what happened was my wife was taking in the slides when I was playing with the elect cords and it blew a fuse. The fuse wasn't in the control panel. It is located in the battery compartment. It has been working fine ever since. (tx)
