Spring Bar Selection

I'll be upgrading my spring bars since I found that my tongue weight (580 lb partially loaded) exceeds the capacity of my 550 lb spring bars. I've located some used 1000 lb spring bars but I'm wondering if I should keep looking for 750 0r 800 lb bars. Are 1000 lb bars too stiff for a tongue weight of about 600-650 lb? What issues might I run into if I use "extra stiff" bars?

BTW, I'm looking for used bars since the only options for upgrading bars on my old WD system is to find older (i.e., used) bars or upgrade the ball mount too.

I may have just answered my own question. I see on etrailer.com that the 1200 lb bars from Reese are recommended for tongue weights of 600-1200 lb.
