Both reading spotlights above headboard went out.Replaced bulbs but no luck. They take a automotive type bulb which I found on line but still do not work. This is on a 2004 Montana fifth wheel RL.Any ideas what to look for?

You might want to double check the bulb number of the replacement. Most interior lights are of the 921 variety. It seems a bit strange that it would be an automotive type bulb for a bedroom headboard.

Some bulbs are polarity sensitive and they will work only after being inserted the right way. Try turning the bulb completely around.

How about a pic of the bulb? It's much easier to identify these things if we can see them. And we can then give you good, accurate advice.

The bulb # is 1383-Looks like a little flood light.

Might want to check the fixtures, they are probably daisy chained...a supply wire may have burned off... if it's in a slide, check the wiring to the slide.

They are in a slide but I have no idea where wires are in the ceiling-They worked very nice till about a month ago-They pivot and can point were ever you want them.

My guess is to take the mattress off and remove the board underneath it. Your slide mechanism is in there along with your wiring. Maybe it pinched a wire. I'd pull the fixtures first and check them.

Thanks for your help.Next time I get up to my sight I leave it at I will try these things you suggested.Makes sense it would be wiring because both went out at the same time and they do not have same amount of hours on them.

ATV,

I'm guessing you've already checked the 12 volt fuse in the converter? I didn't see any mention of it, but maybe you checked and didn't say anything about it?

No fuses blown. It has 50 amp service and those lights no not have separate fuse.Everything else works.

So fuses okay,,, points to the wiring or connections.
