Take your old strainer to any place that you'd buy a new strainer for your home such as Home Depot, Lowes, local hardware store, Target, WalMart, Bed Bath & Beyond, and even the dollar store. I think you will find one pretty easily. I just tested the one from my house. The basket part of the strainer doesn't fit the trailer's sink, but the one from the trailer fits the house sink and works just fine. You may have check carefully for outside diameter, but I've seen them with different size baskets before.

A gentle reminder that not everything in our RV's is RV specific.

One of the bazillion catalogs that come in the mail has a SS mesh strainer type thing for $3.00. I'm getting 2 for the house and one for the TT. The combo strainer/plug in the TT is a major PIA.

I am pretty sure that the original poster was asking about one of these, not dish drainers.

Thanks everyone for the input. Next time i go to a box store i will bring the one plastic strainer that remain. Not feeling to confident because i have searched their websites. It seams that 4 ½" is standard home size. The camping websites either have 2½ or 1½ inch stainers for rv sinks.

You will be fine. The ones in my house are 3". Like I said, you may have to look at several because some are about an eighth of an inch too big.

I just found them (by the dozen), at Mission Restaurant Supply. They only sell them by the dozen so if you need one or two..............Send me a PM and I'll send you some of mine!

If you are only looking for the basket only and not the complete strainer .... Google kitchen strainer basket and all sorts of sizes are available from box stores or even Wallmart in 3" 3½" and 4½".
