Drains?

Under my TT, between the black and grey tanks, are two hoses (see pic)

Are these for draining the tanks, or for something else?

Your main water system drain lines. you open those and open faucets inside trailer to drain as much water as possible.

In addition to what Randy indicated, these are referred to as "low point" drains. They are, as he stated, part of your internal water line system and not connected to any tank.

They should be located at the lowest point of the lines, are gravity fed, and opened prior to winterizing to drain as much water as possible from these lines. They are closed after you have de-winterized.

There should be a separate drain for your Fresh Water tank located at the bottom of this tank.

The only drain you should have on your black tank is the big guy that you hook your hose up to when dumping.
Quite often those are just low point drains for the water lines in your trailer. Usually there's also one for your fresh water tank (if you choose to fill it).
If you want to know which one is for the fresh water tank just put a few gallons of water in the tank and open a drain line. If it comes out for quite a while you know your draining your fresh water tank and not just the water lines.

The two lines that protrude from your black coroplast underbelly, have nothing at all to do with your black or gray holding tanks and drains. They are low point, fresh water drains and are there to enable you to drain fresh water from the lines inside your TT.

These low point FW drains should, at this time of year, be closed, otherwise any water that you put into your RV will drain out.

They are not connected to the fresh water tank which has its own separate drain. There is no "low point" drain for the FW tank other than the one that is directly underneath and attached to the FW tank itself. This FW tank drain may be a petcock or some other twist on/off shutoff.

The black and gray tank drain lines are made from larger black PVC pipe and run from the black and gray holding tanks to drain valves. These drain valves are located in various places depending on the make and model of your RV. They may be located in 2 or 3 places on the driver's side of the RV -- underneath but visible. They have a large handle that you pull to release the fluids in the black and gray tanks.

On some models, the black/gray tank drains may be found in a central location.

The fresh water drains and the black/gray drains are two separate and different systems and it is important that you have an understanding of how each system operates.

Gotcha - so there are 2, 1 for the shower/bathroom sink line and 1 for the kitchen sink line...?

As I live in South Florida, well below the Frost Line, they're always closed!

Yep, just found it! It's way at the back all by itself.

They're about a foot apart, and about a foot from the main Drain connection. There are labels over each one...

Yep, got it - I just didn't realize there were 2 water line drains...
