Easycare Insurance

While reading some of the posts about warranty issues, I remembered we bought the Easycare warranty extension when we bought our 2012 Cougar. I am hoping I never have to use it, but hope that if someday I do it was worth it.....

Anyone else have the Easycare coverage?

I am not familiar with that particular extended warranty but some will give you a complete refund (less "administrative fees") if you do not make any claims on the policy during the life of it.

If it does have this option, I would suggest that you try not to use it - especially for any repairs that you can do yourself or will be a minimum amount which you can pay for out of pocket.

Even if you pay out several hundred dollars for repairs for the life of the policy, you will probably be ahead financially by not claiming it and then when the policy has lapsed, get almost all of your money back.

Worth checking out the fine print. And be careful of these policies as they often cover far less than you might think. There are more exclusions than inclusions on most.
