It's probably been asked before but I could not find it in the tech corner so here goes. I am trying to figure out what air pressure that I should run on my 5ver and my truck. The trailer has been sitting for several months and the tire pressure was at 70 PSI when I started our last trip. I am assuming that they should be at 80 PSI cold temp, correct?
Now for the truck. I just had four Nitto Dura Grapplers (10 ply 275X65R20) installed and the dealer set the pressure at 65 PSI. When towing shouldn't these also been at 80 PSI?
Jim:rolleyes:

Load range C trailer tires are kept at 50psi and load range D are at 65psi, there's also a load range E tire but I don't have info on that one, maybe one of the other members can chime in, as for the TV tires, it will be marked on the tire sidewall and you can look up the tire specs from online places such as "Tire Rack".

Thanks Flyguy, the truck tires are load range E.

Tire pressure for load range E is 80 psi and for load range G and F is 110 psi. Load ranges G and F are not that common unless you have a unit that has a GVWR of 20,000 lbs or more. From what I seen on your TV tires they should be 80 psi.

I have load range E all the way around and keep them all at 80psi when towing. When not towing I drop pressure in the TV so the DW doesn't bounce out of the co-pilot seat. I always keep max pressure in the trailer and check temp of tire and hubs at every stop. Check the side-wall of those 65 series tires ... but they should be 80psi max. if E rated. Running all tires at max you may also see an increase in fuel mileage, which is a nice plus too. JM2¢, Hank

My truck tires are load range E but the front and rear pressures are different. The sticker states Front 55 lbs and Rear 80 lbs. That is what I keep them at.
