I have done a search and cant seem to find the answer to my question.
For DISH in RV, which home receiver do I use? the main one? Will the one from the spare bedroom that never gets used work?
Thanks in advance.
Have a great day

Most any receiver will work just fine in an RV. It's more a matter of what features you want to take with you on the road. For example, we have two Dish Network receivers. The one in the living room has a built in DVR. The one in the bedroom does not. I don't know which I'd take except to say that it is a lot easier to extract the bedroom unit which sits on a shelf as opposed to the living room unit which is buried in an entertainment center. So I have two questions to answer: Do I want/need the DVR while on a trip? And am I willing to spend the better part of a half hour getting the unit out of the entertainment center?

Some receivers may have more user friendly setup menus than others which would make it lot easier to get your dish aimed and locked in on the satellites. I have not looked at mine enough to know, but I'd sure find out if I wanted to take Dish on the road with me. That would influence my decision, too.

It's up to you to decide. And once you have done it a couple of times, you would know even better which unit is best for you to take with you.

Thanka for the reply. We are in same boat as the one in the bedroom that doesnt get used is easy to unhook and throw in thr rv while the one in living room is somewhat more difficult. Im not worried about DVR so the little one will suit our needs just fine. Thanks again for the help. Have a great weekend.
