KOA Sacramento West / Old Town

This place is not recommended by me. Staff is rude and not accommodating. Not very well groomed grounds. It almost looks like this park is abandoned. Check in time is 3:00 pm and check out time is 12:00 pm. Asked for a 1:00 pm check out in a almost empty park and staff said no while laughing at us. Really???

harpers Ferry KOA...

A question for those that have been here.. My wife and I are going next week. I actually have 2 sites reserved, my buddy can't make it, a 50A pull thru in the middle of the big rigs, and a 30A pull thru in the trees. I can live with the 30A to enjoy some shade, but was wondering how tight they are. I have a 325SRX 5'er, and we will have the goldwing with us.

How big are the 30A sites? Are they flat, or hilly? Which would you chose?

Thank you!

The KOA Thread

We live 10 miles away, been there 4 times. The 50 amp sites across from the office by the entrance road are easy enough to get in, but I would not call them roomy. The rest of the campground is tight. We use to have a 27ft travel trailer with no slides and it was tight. Some are level, some require some thought on placing the rv. I even had to change sites once. I say that as someone with considerable tractor trailer driving experience.

They offer lots of activities, but it is crowded. Lots to do nearby.

Also, lots to do in area. Harpers Ferry NP, Antietam battlefield NP, tubing on the river.Lots of nice riding around and between the two. There is a decent size flea market right down 340, even if you don't find that odd trinket, it's good people watching. If you have any questions about the area let me know.

Thank you! I had read that the sites are a bit tight, I have a 325srx 5'er thats 37' with slides.. I've been driving commercially for 24 years, but not interested in scraping trees..LOL!!

Guess I'll be going 50A..

We love all the history, and plan on seeing as much as we can, including a trip to Gettysburg.

KOA Luray, VA

Very clean, well manicured landscape, friendly staff. It's a little pricy, but it's money well spent...

This is a "deluxe patio" site-#92, but all the sites have gravel drive and patio, and the same block firepit. Lots of landscape timbers used to edge the patios and drives. This place is very nice, and KOA should be proud to hang its sign out front.

I would have to say that this particular KOA is not the "norm" amongst many private campgrounds. Plenty of room in this "delux patio" site with plenty of green space all round.

A very desirable spot ....now how much would a person (a non-KOA member) pay for this "delux" site?

$64. I could do without the patio, but it's our anniversary, and the wife said to get it. They've got other nice pull thru sites for less...
