Water Filter location

So I have a Camco Evo water filter. I usually just run it after right after my pressure regulator before the hose into the trailer. However Im thinking since Im going to be boondocking a few times this year, maybe I could install it under the sink before the kitchen faucet. This way any drinking water gets filtered, regardless if it comes from the fresh tank or the city hookup.

However the flip side, this would allow any dirt/sediment to enter the trailer/hot water heater.

So where would you all suggest mounting the filter?

I installed a 2 cartridge filter combo on the water line after the pump, that way all the water, pump or city, gets filtered.
Works real well. I had the space too.

I have eyeballed that on mine already, just have not done it yet. City water line comes in just after the pump, and just after that is where I plan to install my filter unit. In the meantime, I just use an inline filter on my hose whether I am connected to city water, or filling the fresh water tank.

Why not just run your water through the filter while filling your fresh water tank? Now it's all filtered... No fuss, no muss... good to go!

Good Luck,

I use a sediment filter outside the trailer and a .5 micron carbon filter at the sink. I don't use a carbon filter outside because if the supply has chlorine or chloride it is beneficial to the tank.

Good Luck,
thats an option. That's also assuming the tank is nice and clean already. to be honest, we've maybe used it a handful of times. Prob long overdo for a sanitizing.
