Ford 3.5l ts performance ecoboost ecopro
I've been researching this. Does anyone have experience towing with a TS Performance Ecoboost Ecopro for a 2011-2014 3.5L Ecoboost. If so, what say you bout the good &/or the bad.
It's suppose to
. increase HP 50+
. improve fuel economy
. more responsive throttle
if true
Would appreciate any feedback.

Whoops looks like you are already there. Looking through it seems people in eco land love gear head tunes. In the diesel land they are well respected.

If it increased torque as well as hp you might notice a difference in towing, but towing & fuel economy is another issue. It also depends on the weight of the rv you're hitched to whether you'll notice the throttle response. To be honest it doesn't take a very heavy rv to be too much for 1/2 ton pickups regardless of the hype.
Most add-on performance enhancers do a couple things very well, #1 relieve you of hard earned $$ & #2 make lots of $$$ for the company selling them.

Could not agree more with Danny. Since the days of modern computer controlled engines trying to reprogram engine management systems is at most a futile attempt. Engineers have spent millions to develop an engine that provides max HP/Torque economically at the same time being reliable. Trying to alter any one thing will make another less reliable. JMO YMMV

I don't have any experience with "power upgrades" for the 3.5l ecoboost. My concern, however, would be changing the weakest link from one component to another. In the diesel superduty line, there is a limiter built into the programming to delay full power to the transmission in the lower gears. Ford describes it as a "protective feature to prevent maximum torque application which may damage the transmission".
In the F150, the transmission, transfer case, drive shafts and universal joints are not as "strong" as in the superduty. Adding a "HP/torque boost" may place more power to those components causing more than "engine damage". That would be even more important to consider, especially with the increased load on the truck caused by towing a heavy load/trailer.
Depending on the "refinement" or "sophistication" of the programmed tuner, it may allow maximum power and torque to the driveline in low gears, causing increased potential for damage. I'd sure want to know how "fool-proof" the system is, not that I couldn't/wouldn't drive appropriately, but sometimes someone else may drive the truck and not be aware of the "weak links" created by the programmer.

The only weak link IMO would be not to add a SCT Hand Held Device w/ a 5* Performance Tow Tune (or any other reputable tuner) on a F150 Ecoboost-period.
This is the best money spent that will increase torque down low; add more horsepower which has definitely increased my mpg's while towing.
Sure adding better truck tires, brakes, shocks, rear swaybar, airbags etc help in the overall towing experience-fact.
Take a look at the diesel truck guys towing TT & 5th Wheels. Most that I've encountered at campgrounds do not have stock trucks, they've added some aftermarket performance goodies.
If your not comfortable with a 1/2 ton, get a diesel....no shame in that.
I just got back from towing from AZ to San Diego and back....truck is extremely stable and capable returning decent gas mileage with an average of 8-9.4mpg's going out on a 91perf tow tune and 10.1-11mpg's coming back on a 87 perf tow tune by 5*.

NOPE!
We love our little Eco-beast the way it is. It's still 99.5% stock. The only thing we've added was an oil separator (wellllll also a toneau cover, spray on bedliner, goldish beige flares and wrap). Have no plans on getting rid of it and don't need to add any extra suspension parts as it tows the 5er extremely well. Most of the time it gets between 10 & 11.5 mpg except when we're up in those little hills of Southwestern Colorado (8-10,000 ft). The reason I asked was I came across the video of the Ecopro being installed on a 3.5L Ecoboost and was curious if anybody had one and was it worth a give a care.

Not sure about any add-ones, but we have a 2015 EB 3.5. Tows our 2019 22RBS okay. We are close to 1000 miles into a shakedown trip and I've averaged 12 mpg Cdn gallons. Not going to be fiddling with that. Truck has 137,000 miles and about 24,000 towing. Just put $1700 into installing a new air condoning compressor and belts, etc..
