Took camper out for the weekend on its maiden outing. Tested everything, no leaks, everything important works as it should, great weekend! The only thing we found not working were the lights above the couch, light switch for them but they never would work. The other silly thing we found was the antenna booster switch located above our head when were in bed, looking up at the red indicator light staring us in the face. The switch even has 2 coax fittings...not sure what or where you could put anything and use them as the tv is in the wardrobe at the foot of the bed, not sure what they were thinking on that one but all in all was a great weekend.

Today I took new laundry out to the rig, bedding, clothes and towels for the last trip of the season here in AK. Then it's off to the repair shop for some off-season maintenance and then it gets winterized and parked for the winter. Sadness.

We spent about 2 hours moving a small amount of the stored goods we had from our Raptor into the new RV. Can't you just hire someone to do this? We barely put a dent in the pile.

Slowly getting this new trailer to where the old one was.

Removed the 12V single and installed my 6 golf cart batteries, along with the watering system.

I was very ambitious today.I changed the steel screw in the shower drain with a stainless screw that won't rust.

So last night when we set up for camping, I went to install the Genturi I’ve been using for many years now and low and behold, the wire hinge pin to hold the system to the generator exhaust pipe decided to go missing. This morning, I made a special trip to Home Depot to get something to replace it and found a 1/4 inch by 1 3/4 inch cotterless hitch pin. It was a perfect fit.

Oh yeah. As I was closing everything up right after installing it this morning, I found the missing one on the ground below the pass through storage door. Setting up camp in the dark is a real trial sometimes.

I conducted an inspection of my roof, conditioned my slide seals, and discovered one of the end screws holding a slide wiper had broken off. I replaced the broken screw.

Took a break from repairing faulty install of furnace. But that didn't surprise me half as much as when the smoke alarm went off.

I put a door sweep on the bottom of the door going from the kit/LR area into the garage. There was a gap of approx. 5/8" under that door and since we don't use the garage area for anything other than transporting motorcycles (no one sleeping in the garage beds), some of the A/C would escape into the garage area, making the Kit/LR area harder to keep cool. I also replaced the kitchen sink faucets and got rid of the extremely cheap faucet that came with the T.H. And one last little project involved putting up a small bracket to put a clip on 6" fan in the bedroom.

On a side note, after my last outing with the T.H. and having an issue with the sofa slide not wanting to retract.....I did some adjusting on the cables. Yesterday, while doing the other stuff, I had to extend both the sofa slide and the Stove/Refrigerator slide and when done, run them back in. The good news is that the sofa slide came in smoothly and no grunting or groaning. It looks like my adjustment was successful ........again.

Bringing it home today to give it a final wash and wax, clean and inspect roof and sealant and then pull it up to it's winter resting spot in East Tawas Michigan, Will "winter camp" every other weekend after that. Winterize it next weekend..

Adding storage space and convience items.

Added a pull handle to the main screen door, secured a couple wire shelf units and cut a couple access doors in lower skirting to better access black and grey tank pull valves.

Just added plastic pegboard to the basement. Amazing how much room you create when stuff is hanging out of the way. Now have lots of room, but let my wife know, she will fill it up again.

Added a bug screen cover to the furnace vent, saw a couple Yellow Jackets snooping around there our last trip out. Put some rtv sealant around the bathtub where it meets the shower walls and all around the bathroom floor seams. Last week tried out our new X chocks in the driveway. Oh! and thanks to everyones reply, found my antenna booster switch which didn't help get any more channels in our driveway lol

Attempted to install the bedlift kit, but realized I boght the wrong size, so the lifts are way too long for my extremely short 22" deep storage area. So ended up doing nothing except drilling some holes.

Fixed my outside storage access PITA by removing the spare tire carrier. Installed my new BAL Hide-A-Spare just behind the rear axle in front of the back door.

Went from this:

discovered my wife's ultra-sensitive nose was correct yet again - auto changeover propane regulator was leaking behind the selector lever. Yay - $50 part purchased due to failure of a 10 cent o-ring.

Red face

I asked a lot of questions on forums about Montana plumbing and winterizing, followed by a massive anxiety attack over how I will manage to screw it all up.

Today was a driveway new trailer mock camping shakedown. Turned on Refrigerator with gas, Check one click fire in the hole. after an hour switched to electric. Still going strong bought a refrigerator thermometer from hard ware store and in 4 hours it was at 32degees. I slid the temp thing down and it went to 38 just keeping an eye on it now to find my zone of sustained 35 to 40.
Second I did the furness burn off. Took about 10 minutes of full burning before the heater stopped having the new burn smells. ran fine. again One click start.
Third, I installed a three way winterizing valve on my water pump. Need to buy two new barbed fittings and hose clamps but the job is done.
Forth, We finished the waxing.
We used a marine grade Polymer wax that repels "get this" a second coat!!!! No kidding. This thing is so smooth. Everything falls right off. Bird crap falls right off!!! Hard work but DONE!!!!
I really cant wait, my first trip is the 27 of Oct. I'm going nuts wanting to play!!!! But at least its ready!!!!
