Wiring on my new Passport 2600bhgt

After I got my rig home, I noticed that when they put the battery in they hooked it up to the two circuit breaker / junction blocks on the frame behind the battery. The problem, all the wiring there is so cobbled up I took it back on Monday to General RV to fix it and few other things we found after we got it home... We haven't even used it yet... just took it home...Plus they neglected to hook up the wires for the solar panel plug to the battery because the other connections were taking up too much space on the breaker/junction block.
I spent 24 years as a certified service auto tech and service mgr at a dealership before I went into law enforcement full time and I've never seen such shoddy work of wiring in my life.. crimp connectors, no shrink wrap nothing to keep it out of the elements... Gen RV says it was done by Keystone...my comment was YOU prepped it...You should have noticed and fixed it... even the rubber push on covers won't fit because of the cobbled up mess... I asked them if they can put on a weatherproof cover over those breaker/junction blocks... write up person said they cannot modify it...
My question (after all of that) is: Has anyone else had that shoddy wiring done on their rig and if so, what have you done about or such? The way it is run is an invitation to water intrusion and corrosion and eventual bad connections to the entire trailer wiring...I can fix it myself if they don't do it correctly.. Thanks for any input you can provide...

So yours was a bit of a mess as well? Just think they'd want to make this a bit more water resistant...lol

It's not quite a bird's nest but close. All is tucked neatly enough under the a frame, propane and battery box.

Both my passports had a bunch of wires cobbled onto those blocks. Never had an issue with them. They were behind the battery box and under a small overhang in the front.

Yep, they come from the factory that way. It's a mess and just a problem waiting to happen. I put a box in and moved everything into it and cleaned it all up.

well that is a bit more like I'd expect... never have seen a crimped wire that didn't corrode up if left in the elements for time... I like your idea but was told by Gen RV that it will void my warranty if I try to fix it... Mine is right on the front frame rail just behind and to the right of the battery box... easier to explain with a pic... Oh and I forgot to mention that the in-line fuse and holder was put on with a house type wire nut and then electrical taped over... and by the way the rubber lid doesn't close over it anyway..

Yep looks just like our bullet. Don't like it. I will change mine and tidy it up when I find the right looking parts to fix it

Not sure how it would void the warranty and in any case I don't worry about it. This is what mine looked like before I cleaned it up. The other breaker is hidden behind that inline fuse holder.

And another shot of the after cleanup look. Pay no attention to that stray ribbon cable. I was wiring up a battery shunt at the time.

If you're concerned about the warranty BS then just wait a year and do it after the warranty is up.

You'd think they would use weather pack connectors or at least enclose it... I'm going to think of something... I pick it back up tomorrow. I'm curious as to what (if anything) they did to correct it... I can't believe that they don't make a weather proof enclosure that you could put on.. or they could put on... I'm going to look at the automotive side of underhood type enclosures to see what might fit the bill... Again, I really appreciate the responses.... Thanks Sarge

Well looks like yours had the same type of wire nut for your in line fuse too... LOL.. what the heck are they thinking? I'll wait the year to fix it similar to yours.... right now I'll do a temp fix I can pull off and on if I ever have to take it back... Thanks Steveo
