Demco Hijacker 5th wheel hitch maintenance

[1st Chev Diesel]

I have a 21K hijacker autoslide 5er hitch and I have been looking for directions/videos on doing routine maintenance on this hitch. Things like greasing, inspection and so forth. I have looked on this site and on Demco;s site.

Gary Have you checked with one of the RV techs at Runners in Cranbrook. Failing that you will find some excellent resources here.

Maintenance section only discusses the removing and lubing of the Jaws, along with the locking bar. Along with lubing my hitch I am always looking over the entire hitch for things as loose/lost pins, etc. As a matter of fact every time I leave my TV and return I check that hitch, at least to make sure the locking bar is still engaged and pinned. Some time I use a lock and key to ensure nobody can play with that locking bar, Strange people do strange thinks
