We are a family of 5 and are also getting into dirt bikes so we will be hauling 4 soon 5 dirt bikes as well as other toys on our weekend mini-cations.

I’m looking for tips on what to look for during our pdi walkthrough in a few days.

If your wondering I’m towing it with a 2018 F-350 6.7L Diesel SRW.

Ask:

Where is the water pump?
Where is the winterization valve?
Where is the slide emergency mechanism?
Where is the gray tank valve that's NOT in the convenience center?
How do I draw antifreeze into the system?
Where is the auto-level reset?
Where is the black tank flush? And the anti-siphon valve?
How does the remote control work? And, What does it control?
Where is the switch for the docking lights?
Where is the power switch for the rear camera?
Where is the battery cutoff switch?
How do I power the residential refrigerator when not on shore power?
Where is the inverter for the residential refrigerator?
Where is the external shower? The hose for that shower? and How does it connect?
Where is my converter?

My suggestion: Print out these questions, put them on a clipboard and continue to write more as they come to mind.

425 Raptor

Get a coax cable tester from home Depot and test your lines, check your door knob strike plate alignment, check for gaps around door seal going into garage, check slide cable tension, take a DVD test player, check smooth operation of dump valves and check everything else. Good luck

Before pick up of your new rig make a check off sheet.
We purchased a keystone for their multipoint inspection before leaving the factory. Still had several issues.
Start with lights check all content forget awning lights. Go version you entertainment system cable vs. no cable.
Trailer lights all , right , left , emergency. Should be done if state inspected but better to check when hooked up to your truck.
Safety lock out when trailer is connected to "command system" Prevents things from operating when hitch plug is tied in without override .
Fill fresh water tank make sure pumps work. Check electric and gas water heater both. Make sure battery is bolted down not free floating in try.
All sinks work and have hot water.
The rear heater ducts should blow air at floor grills. Yes 8of 10 seem to get linked up under belly of trailer.
Your rear ac if it has a monster pack as a fusion has should have supplemental electric heat in ac on roof. Reccomend the strip heat in toy hauler section . Also added to front bed room ac. Saves on propane easy and on. Check the roof before pulling away for any tears scrapes. These rigs are tall make sure no trees have hit roof, ACs etc before pulling off dealer lot. Make your list and don't let your "walk through" get shortened by a pushy salesman.
A long walk through makes for fewer return trips.

Have someone video the entire walk thru process!
Especially get a shot of the persons face when you ask about 1/2 (probably all) of these questions, they won't have a clue. Hopefully they won't try to baffle you with bulls### when they TRY to answer.

Sad but true most of the time. Sales people did them at one dealership, another had parts people. Where I work now the tech that did the PDI does the walk, so I KNOW the answers LOL.

That's a great policy!
I've bought several used & 2 new ones & on both the new ones I was teaching the fellow things that he had no clue how they operated.
To OP, if you have a friend or know someone that's had rvs for some time ask if they will go with you, they'll ask questions that you'd never think of.
